All these plants have similar chemical properties which include to a certain extent, contraceptive properties. Wild carrot is the herb of choice to use as a natural contraceptive.

Wild carrot (also known as Bird's Nest or Queen Anne's Lace - Daucus carota subspecies carota) seeds have been used for thousands of years for contraception.  Daucus carota subsp. carota is related to the now extinct herb Silphion and is being used today by many women who want to avoid getting pregnant. Wild carrot seed products may just be the answer for natural birth control for those women who want to avoid the possible side effects of "the pill" or other contraceptive devices.
